The title of Best Car Brand has been awarded to Mazda for a resounding four consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report.

Vehicles and manufacturers are entered in categories ranging from Best Car Brand, Best SUV Brand, and Best Truck Brand. To declare a winner for each category, U.S. News & World Report averaged the overall score given to each vehicle in each award class.

Scores came from the U.S. News Best Car ranking, which is a combination of the consensus of the automotive press, safety scores, as well as reliability data. The manufacturer with the highest overall average score was named the winner for the respective category.
