The new Carbon Edition is available on the Grand Touring trim, which adds a bevy of upgrades and attention-grabbing details.

Beginning with the exterior, the CX-9 Carbon Edition features an exclusive Polymetal Gray metallic paint color, gloss black door mirrors, black exterior trim, blacked-out grille, black 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels.

Inside drivers and passengers will revel in the red leather seats, black trim on the dash, ventilated front seats, and heated second-row seats.

Additionally, drivers will enjoy a heated steering wheel with paddle shifters, creating a spirited drive.

The unique styling pairs perfectly with the premium features found throughout the Mazda crossover SUV while helping owners find a way to express their individuality.

If that wasn’t enough, the infotainment center receives has been revamped and now comes with a 10.3-inch display and updated user interface.

Just two years ago, the CX-9 was only offering an 8-inch display. It may not seem like a big change but, when you’re on the road, the increased screen size can make a substantial difference.

Other features found in the model include a reconfigurable digital gauge display, automatic power folding door mirrors, memory positioning for the driver seat, windshield wiper de-icer, and a frameless rearview mirror.

CX-9 Carbon Edition Performance & Fuel Economy

Under the hood, the CX-9 Carbon Edition offers a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine providing 227 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque (it produces 250 hp with 93 octane).

This amount of horsepower and torque is sure to provide a spirited drive, no matter the length of the journey.

The three-row crossover SUV can handle even the sloppiest of roads with ease.

Drivers have the option to choose between an all-wheel-drive powertrain or a front-wheel drive powertrain.

The AWD option offers an EPA estimated 20 MPG city and 26 MPG highway. Whereas the FWD offers an average of 22 MPG city and 28 MPG highway.

No matter which powertrain you choose, you can anticipate spending less time at the pump.
