Modified Driving Dynamics & New Trim Level of the 2022 CX-30

The trim selection and driving dynamics of the Mazda CX-30 have been modified for the new year.

Replacing the trim range of the previous year is an extended, reclassified version — the CX-30 2.5 S, 2.5 S Select, 2.5 S Preferred, 2.5 S Carbon Edition, 2.5 S Premium, 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus.

The 2.5 S Carbon Edition offers buyers another mid-tier trim level to choose from in addition to a special interior that is exclusive to the trim — red leather seats, while a basic package of branded specs is featured in all eight trim levels.

This includes an i-Activ all-wheel-drive (AWD®) drivetrain system that improves the overall performance of the vehicle by making it more responsive to the driver’s steering commands and efficiently communicating them to the transmission.

Another advanced Mazda driving dynamic that’s been made standard across all of the CX-30 trim levels is G-Vectoring Control Plus with Off-Road Traction Assist.

The stabilizing mechanism helps distribute sufficient amounts of torque or power to every wheel according to the conditions of the road as read by the i-Activ AWD® system.

Mazda also aims to please as many consumers as possible by offering the 2022 CX-30 model as either a turbocharged or non-turbo vehicle.

While the first five trim levels feature a regular fuel-efficient Skyactiv®-G engine, the 2.5 Turbo, 2.5 Turbo Premium, and 2.5 Turbo Premium Plus are turbocharged.
